My personal favorite is actually The Secret World, primarily because I love the concept of secret conspiracies and a dark underworld that exists alongside our ordinary, everyday world. TSW is practically the only MMO that is set in the modern-day world. Both TSW and GW2 were released in 2012 so technically they do not qualify as best MMOs released in 2013. For that honor I choose Defiance. Defiance is unusual in that it is a third-person shooter that is played in a persistent open world that has no loading screens between zones. It s pretty fun and if you love intense action combat then this might be the game for you. Defiance is also available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. Nonetheless, if I really had to choose just one game then I would go for Grand Voyage because it has exactly what I like: a player-controlled economy and trading. My online friends have been telling me to play Firefall with them ever since it was released.
