WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF SZIGETKÖZ EXPO

The Association for the Tourism of Szigetköz won a subsidy with the number TOP-7.1.1-16-H ESZA-2019-00945 entitled Szigetköz Expo 2019 which is held now on 24-25th March 2022 after a long period of waiting because of the pandemic. The place of the event is Flesch Központ the biggest cultural institution of Győr-Moson-Sopron county.

About the Expo

The programme is materialized within Széchenyi 2020 in the project TOP-7.1.1-16-H-ESZA-2019-00945. The chief patrons of Szigetköz Expo are dr. Nagy István a Member of Parliament, the Minister of Agriculture, and dr Árvay István the mayor of Mosonmagyaróvár, the president of the Regional Association. The theme of the first day is the economic present and future of Mosonmagyaróvár and the Szigetköz region. The theme of the second day is the touristical opportunities of Mosonmagyaróvár and the Szigetköz region.

The two-day programme covers the economic and touristical present and future of Mosonmagyaróvár and the Szigetköz region with the help of local and national specialists. Introductions and debates will be held in the form of presentations and round table discussions. The purpose of this event is to make companies, entrepreneurs and settlements in the Szigetköz region get to know each other, as well as to provide the greatest insight into the old and new touristical possibilities of this area.

13 presentations, 8 round table discussions and three workshops will be held during the two-day conference. On the exhibitions, introductory presentations more than 50 entrepreneurs, settlements and initiatives from the Szigetköz region will be presented. At the end of the first day everyone is welcome to a great presentation. Balogh Levente the director of Szentkirályi Mineral Water presents his story. The second day is closed with an untied wine tasting event called „Boragóra”.

This programme is organized by the Association for the Tourism of Szigetköz co-financed by the European Union and the European Social Fund.
