From Communication Hardware to Software

I made an “Ausbildung” (Similar as Bachelor) in Computer and Communication at the Deutsche Telekom in 1988. From that time I worked, building large scale Communication systems, moving into Networks by 1990. In 1995, I moved to Augsburg, making my “Master” in Information Technology, at that time called “EDV Kaufmann” while working as an intern for the Siemens Nixdorf Corporation.

From large Corporations to StartUp

During my time at Siemens, I learned so much, that I had to move out and explore new ventures. In 2003 I moved to Orlando, Florida, setting up a cross border online shop, selling over 50,000 items from USA to Europe in just 4 years. Companies, like UPS or Fedex were interested in my 22,000 category duty and tax calculator, which I sold to a company in England by 2008.

From Germany to America

In 2010 I worked as a Software developer back in my home town in the Black Forest in Germany to help a friend get his business moving faster. However, after 4 years I developed an App to connect people, you do not know, asking for help or to manage a garage sale. I funded a StartUp in Las Vegas, Nevada to get this App of the ground…I failed.

From Fun (West) to Fun (East)

In 2018 I contracted for a Magento lead developer position at Diamond Resorts Headquarters In Las Vegas. The goal was to improve and add new functionality to the existing Ticket sales site by enhancing and building new Magento modules. After 6 month, I got hired for a full time position from Diamond Resorts in which I still am today.

After moving to the East coast, to the second Diamond Resorts Headquarter in Orlando, Florida, I evolved into our main Drupal Developer, managing a team to expand our Diamond Resorts main website. Enabling our Marketing Division to excel in selling Deals we were able to exceed 2020 and 2021 so far with our Social Network Marketing strategy.

However, in beginning of 2021, I moved back to Las Vegas once again, still working for Diamond Resorts.

Having managed multi million Dollar projects at corporations such as Siemens, Disney and Chase, sometimes with over 100 team members, enables me to provide you with an unprecedented skill-set in bringing the best out of each team member.

Controlling

During my times at Siemens ICN, I controlled all IT projects, directly responding to the CIO of 50.000 employees. As a controller, you have to make sure you support the projects so each project manager stays positive, while making clear what the boundaries are, giving by the management.

Software Development

Beginning with Basic back in 1980 on my Commodore C64, moving to Pascal, crossing COBOL till arriving at C and C++ in 2002, I am able to work in many programming environments. After 2002, I went into Perl, Java, Javascript, PHP and Python, as everything became more web focused.

Web Development

Since I love the web, developing websites has been a passion of mine for the last 20 years. During that time I worked on large scale websites for millions of users as well as websites for small businesses. My knowledge goes from HTML 5/CSS 3, Javascript, XML/XSL, Jason, JQuery, Bootstrap to Django and much more.

Mobile Development

Since most users these days access the internet through Apps, App development has become a main focus. I developed for Android, using Java in Eclipse as well as for iOS, using Objective C/Swift in X-Code.
