The 2019-2020, Central High School Wind Ensemble. The entire fourth grade class at Eisenhower Elementary raised over $1,700 to donate to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief CTE students at Wilson Elementary participated in fun, hands-on STEM activities National Honor Society Students at Central High School A group of high school and intermediate students, along with two eighth grade students from Wood Intermediate traveled to Des Moines to meet the Governor and legislators, and tour the Capitol! Buffalo Elementary students at their PBIS celebration with Radar from the QC Storm. Pro Start students from Central High School who took first place at the Iowa Restaurant Assosciation Master Chef competition in October, 2019. The West High School Diamond Dancers placed 5th place in Pom, 3rd place in Kick, and 3rd place in Lyrical at the ISDTA State Championships in December, 2019. These athletes also have a 3.5-4.0 Team GPA. For Seniors who would like their diplomas now, pick-up will be available at each high school tomorrow, Friday, June 12, 2020 between 9AM and 3PM.Simply drive-up to your school, call the office, and your diploma will be brought out to you!For those who do not pick-up their diploma tomorrow, they will be available at the in-person Graduation experience on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Brady Street Stadium.Each principal will be emailing out additional logistical details for families and students soon about the Graduation experience.Download Spanish Version | Download Vietnamese VersionRead More Congratulations to the Class of 2020!While this year certainly did not look the way many of us planned, it does not take away from the incredible accomplishments of our Davenport Community School District students. The program used is an online program called Edgenuity and is staffed with qualified teachers and paraeducators to support students through the course content and with the online platform.MWhere: On-site at Mid-City High School, following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. There is a possibility that restrictions may result in summer school being conducted entirely online.When: July 6- August 7, 2020, Mondays through Thursdays (no class on Fridays). There are two sessions held per day, one from 8:00-10:00 and the other from 10:00-12:00.How: Counselors and administrators may refer a student to summer school based on their knowledge regarding the student and their academic standings. ANY child between the ages of 1 and 18 years old may receive a meal at no cost, Monday – Thursday. The Summer Meal Program begins on Monday, June 8, 2020 and runs through Thursday, July 30, 2020.On Thursdays, additional meals will be provided to ensure students have food for the weekend.Meal site locations will continue to be drive-through. The Davenport Community School District reminds those driving to one of the meal sites to open the trunk of their car, or leave a seat open where staff can place the food.
