In the first quarter of 2022, OIT will change how you access your UCI Google Workspace account by enabling UCI Single Sign-On with Duo, which will allow you to use your UCInetID password to sign in instead of a separate Google username password. This change will make it easier for users to add their Gmail to their desktop and mobile mail client of choice, as well as offering a new layer of security to protect their accounts when accessing them from Google Drive or a web browser. The following instructions will work for the time being but will be updated once the change has been implemented. Keep an eye out for the announcement from OIT.

UCI Google Workspace is a set of Google applications available to all UCI faculty, staff, students and sponsored and group accounts.

UCI Google Workspace Includes:UCI Gmail - Send and receive email with powerful search options, spam filtering, and chatUCI Google Docs - Publish and collaborate in real-time on documents, spreadsheets, and presentationsUCI Google Drive - Get access to files anywhere through secure cloud storage and file backup for your photos, videos, files and more.UCI Google Drive may only be used for Protection Level 1 and 2 data.  For more information, please view the UC Electronic Information Security policy here.Protection Level 3 and 4 data should be stored on Microsoft OneDrive.UCI Google Sites - Quickly create and publish collaborative sitesUCI Google Groups - Available for faculty and staff by request.
