Children need champions. Get involved, speak out, volunteer, or become a donor and give every child a fair chance to succeed. UNICEF Innocenti is mobilizing a rapid research response in line with UNICEF’s global response to the COVID-19 crisis. The initiatives we’ve begun will provide the broad range of evidence needed to inform our work to scale up rapid assessment, develop urgent mitigating strategies in programming and advocacy, and preparation of interventions to respond to the medium and longer-term consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. The research projects cover a rapid review of evidence, education analysis, and social and economic policies. Manifesto by Italian adolescents on post COVID-19 future Young people reflect on the post COVID-19 future and write down their recommendations in the Manifesto "The Future We Want", launched today by UNICEF in Italy. UNICEF involved over 20 young people from the north and south of Italy, from different backgrounds and representatives of different realities, in an online consultation. The participatory process led to an online questionnaire by and for adolescents. Among the focuses: satisfaction with life, relational well-being, economic well-being, education and job access, environment and health. Over 2,000 young people aged between 15 and 19 responded to the survey.
