I would give Wendy Carannante 10 stars if I could. We have been seeing Wendy for 3 years. Our daughter was struggling in 1st grade and the teachers were wavering on academic testing.

"Continued" Our daughter attends private school so the cost was on us. We did some research and found a Dr. in Stafford. Her fee was $5,000. We had no idea that was exorbitant. The teachers waivered again and we cancelled

"Continued" The teachers came back again asking for an academic assessment. Their confusion caused us a lot of frustration, so we looked locally and found Mindful Health online. We were STUNNED by her low fee. The lowest we found for the same testing was in northern Va for $1850.

"Continued" The appointments were easily scheduled and Wendy was amazing for our daughter. Our daughter started with THREE learning disabilities. Under Wendy's recommendations and our schools willingness to follow them, our daughter has flourished and her self esteem has increased

meet wendy Wendy Carannante, MS, EdS, NCSP

Wendy Carannante is a Licensed School Psychologist by the VA Department of Health Professions and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She is also working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Wendy provides counseling services and psychoeducational evaluations for school age children and adolescents to assist them in accessing learning and enhance well being. She specializes in identifying Learning Disorders/Disabilities and ADHD.

Wendy also provides counseling for difficulties impacting school and utilizes a variety of approaches depending on the child's needs to include directive and non directive counseling, cognitive behavioral strategies, play therapy techniques as well as parent consultation, educational consultation, and behavioral consultation services.

Wendy completed her undergraduate coursework at James Madison University earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Statistics. Wendy earned her Master of Science in Psychology and continued her graduate studies while at Radford University, eventually earning a Specialist in Education degree in the area of School Psychology in 2004.

Wendy began her career as a psychologist for the Virginia public school systems in 2003 and in private practice in 2008. She has over 10 years of experience with working with school systems and with outpatient care.

Her pleasant demeanor, compassionate and empathetic nature, strict confidentiality, and unique insight quickly make Wendy's mental health and educational services sought after.
