an international journal covering various aspects of botany, zoology andcellular and molecular biology. Since 1946 the journal serves to publish thenewest results from research in life sciences. It provides to the authors acredible and efficient peer-review and is in a front to theirs expectations ofhigh scientific standards. From over twenty years Biologia is indexed byAbstracting and Indexing Services and evaluated by receiving a first IF in1994.Accordingly to the three subjects sections (botany, zoology and cellularand molecular biology) the papers are publish bimonthly. Each section has itsown Editorial Board and Editorial Office. Now the efforts of all teams areincreased and unified because the journal is starting in the co-publishingprogram with Versita and Springer. By this step in the development Biologiaintroduces into electronic publishing. For the authors it benefits in a fasterand broader visibility of their results.From 2007 every issue of Biologia will contain the papers fromthe fields of microbial, plant and animal sciences. More details is given inthe Aims and Scope. The journal welcomes articles from all countries over theworld.Aimsand scopeBiologia publisheshigh-quality research papers in the fields of microbial, plant and animalsciences. The papers on microbial sciences cover all aspects of Bacteria,Archaea and microbial Eucarya including biochemistry, cellular and molecularbiology, genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics. The papers on plant sciencescover fundamental research in taxonomy, geobotany, genetics and all fields ofexperimental botany including cellular, whole-plant and community physiology.The papers on zoology cover mostly animal systematics and taxonomy, morphology,ecology and physiology from cellular to molecular level.Every Issue of Biologia will contain the papers from all theabove-mentioned fields of biology. Full-paper contributions should presentoriginal experimental, methodological or theoretical research.
