Breach of mathway.com account database 06/24/2020 On June 23, 2020 NJIT was notified  by REN-ISAC (Research and Education Networks Information Sharing and Analysis Center) that the website mathway.com account database was breached in January 2020. An unsolicited email has been sent out regarding the State Retirement System. 06/19/2020 It has come to our attention that an unsolicited email has been sent out regarding the State Retirement System, subject line of the email below.Subject: State retirement system help for New Jersey Institute of Technology personnel Urgent Windows Update Requiring Restart 06/11/2020 Microsoft has announced that there is a security vulnerability in all current Windows operating systems    Intermittent Internet Connectivity – June 23, 2020 8:15am – 8:45am 06/23/2020On Tuesday June 23, 2020 at 8:15am – 8:45am, internet connectivity to and from NJIT became intermittent. Service was restored at 8:45am.Info: IST Service Desk 973-596-2900 http://servicedesk.njit.edu/VPN Server Maintenance Sunday night 6/7 at 11:59pm – Monday morning 6/8 1am 06/07/2020On Sunday night June 7 11:59pm – Monday morning June 8 1am, maintenance will be performed on the NJIT VPN server.  During this maintenance window, VPN services will be unavailable for 30 minutes.   Service will be restored by 1am.Info: IST Service Desk 973-596-2900 or http://servicedesk.njit.edu/Scheduled Outage Enterprise IT Service – Saturday, June 6th – Sunday, June 7th 2020 06/04/2020IST will be applying operational and security updates to several systems from 9 pm Saturday, June 6th, to 11 am Sunday, June 7th, 2020.  During this critical activity, many enterprise IT services (e.g. Banner, TouchNet, Infosilem) will be unavailable.   Webmail and Canvas/Moodle will be available throughout most of this maintenance window, however, you may experience intermittent interruptions.
