After careful consideration and in light of the continuing uncertainty over health, security and travel restrictions in 2021 the 21st World Congress on Dental Traumatology Organising Committee (COC) has made the difficult decision to further postpone the congress to 2022. The WCDT 2022 congress under the main theme “Challenges, Opportunities and New Horizons in Dental Trauma” and in Celebration of Jens Ove Andreasen will now take place in Lisbon from 11 to 14 May 2022. With this decision the COC will be in a position to ensure a more secure environment that will allow participants from around the world to attend the face-to-face congress in Lisbon in full confidence that they will be safe. Organizational procedures will be announced in due course. In order to ensure the health and safety of all WCDT participants, the Congress Organising Committee has rescheduled to May 11-14, 2022. Dental Trauma Guide Join IADT or Renew Your Membership Now Dr. Jens Ove Andreasenand theInternational Association of Dental Traumatology, after intensive testing and development, has made the Dental Trauma Guide (DTG) available on-line. Together with his staff of coworkers at the University Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark and contributors from other countries, Dr. Andreasen has used data collected from treatment records at the Hospital going back several decades to develop the Guide. It is matched with the IADT trauma guidelines that have been available through the IADT website for several years. We welcome you to join the IADT and enjoy the many advantages to being a member! Link to additional membership information IADT members now have an opportunity to earn a Fellowship in the International Association of Dental Traumatology. A prerequisite for Fellowship will be a minimum of three years continuous current membership of the association.  The award will be based on a points system of service in dental traumatology and an online examination. Service will reflect activities in the field of dental traumatology and include;  participation in IADT sponsored continuing education programs, presentation of lectures or posters, organizing dental traumatology courses, publishing or translating dental traumatology literature , or participating in IADT committees. Fellows will retain the title without further requirements as long as they maintain continuous membership in IADT. Notice: Enrollment for the Fellowship is currently suspended while the process is being updated.
