Jolo, WV After high school, Steven joined the military, and though he traveled to many different places in his career he was never able to find a place that he would call Home. His decision to leave the military lead him to look into other options, and that was college. After several visits to different campuses, he decided that Concord University would be the place he truly called home. He took advantage of the opportunities that were presented to him, and according to him one of the best was the opportunity to work with, and give back to, fellow student veterans and veterans in the community. Steven is now a graduate of Concord and pursuing his dream expanding his own small business. It Starts With You. Staying involved in as many things as possible at Concord gave me a sense of belonging. Alumni Director of Student Activities We strive to have an open door policy in the office, and to put ourselves in the shoes of our students in every action we do. For nearly 20 years, Andrew Sulgit has worked in a number of campus positions, and each one has been centered on the students of CU. From organizing student activities to helping organizations on campus, Andrew says the goal is to make sure your time at Concord is memorable. On campus, you can find a number of Greek organizations, free classes like Salsa dancing, and live musical performances, just to name a few. There is something for every student to get involved in at Concord University. Chelsea also helps coordinate special events like Alumni After Hours, Foundation dinners, and Homecoming festivities. She says these events allow Concord alumni, donors, students, and community members to gather and stay connected to the university and each other. A graduate of Concord herself, Chelsea understands the importance of staying connected to CU and supporting all the university does for its students. Concord has become a second home to me. I truly love this place.
