Washington Area Square Dancers Cooperative Association - WASCA, We regret to inform you that the 2020 WASCA Festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. Cancellations and requested rollovers were pouring in and we have no idea where we might have ended up, but more than half of the WASCA Board would have been unable to attend and assist because of underlying or potential health issues. The Alexandria Mark Hilton has graciously allowed us to cancel the Festival Contract under the “Acts of God” (force majeure) provisions of the Contract to ensure the health and safety of our dancing community. Expressions of gratitude to the Hotel are encouraged. We know that you all are as disappointed as we are. Please call the Alexandria Mark Hilton at 1-800-445-8667 to cancel your hotel reservation. You will need your hotel confirmation number which was sent to you previously by Stphanie and Joe Corson. You must personally contact the Alexandria Mark Hilton at 1-800-445-8667 to cancel your hotel reservation. WASCA Festival Registration will roll over your registrations to the WASCA 2021 Festival. A 2021 WASCA Flyer will be sent soon to those who have previously registered. Again, we apologize for this once in a lifetime event but we know you all understand the circumstances. Nancy & Tom Stafford Registrars Square Edges Square and Round Dance Club, Effective immediately, all of the Square Edges classes (Sunday, Monday and Wednesday) are hereby cancelled for two (2) weeks, due to efforts by Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church and the Newport News Public School System to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus. That would be at least through March 25th. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. In the interim payment of dues will be suspended. We look forward to returning to our normal activities and wish all good health. WASCA - Washington Area Square Dancers Cooperative Association Usually held in Alexandria Virginia once a year. This a where Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia square dancers meet to dance in March for three days. WASCA - Washington Area Square Dancers Cooperative Association In 2014 there was more than 1,400 round and square dancers at Alexandria, Virginia! VSARDA - Virginia Square And Round Dance Association Usually held in the Southside area of Virginia once a year. This a where Virginia square dancers meet to dance in May for three days. VSARDA - Virginia Square And Round Dance Association In 2015 there was more than 400 round and square dancers at Virginia Beach, Virginia!
