About Rimbun Dahan is the home of architect Hijjas Kasturi and his wife Angela. Set on fourteen acres outside Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the compound of Rimbun Dahan is a centre for developing traditional and contemporary art forms. Residencies Rimbun Dahan hosts a range of artists’ residencies to encourage visual artists, choreographers and other creative individuals to explore and develop their artistic work. Plant List Rimbun Dahan s 14-acre garden is a valuable collection of plants indigenous to Southeast Asia, including many tropical forest hardwoods and some specimens of species now extinct in the wild. NewsSyed FakaruddinVisual artist Syed Fakaruddin is undertaking a 2-month residency at Rimbun Dahan from September to November 2020. During his residency, he is developing a series of works exploring the three layers of landscape painting: background, middleground and foreground.
