THE MCOSH MISSION
MCOSH’s mission and work have remained the same for 30 years, since our inception as an integral part of the Tompkins-Cortland Labor Coalition in 1989, and then under the framework of the Midstate Education and Service Foundation (a non-profit 501c3 organization, formally Midstate Education and Services Foundation) beginning in 2003. We remain committed to the principle that workplace injury, illness, and death are preventable, and through training, education, advocacy, and labor-community organizing we work to extend and defend every person’s right to a safe and healthy workplace. We are a proud affiliate of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH).
