Metro Bank – Private Equity vultures Carlyle look under the bonnet and walk: that did not take longByTom Winnifrith
On 4 November Metro Bank (MTRO) said it was in bid talks with private equity group Carlyle and that the private equity vultures had until December 2 to put up or shut up. Carlyle kicked a few tyres and looked under the bonnet and today it walked. Natch Metro phrased it differently:

Video: Price Inflation is Only Just BeginningByTom Winnifrith
Veteran analyst Alasdair McLeod claims that the investment management industry is completely ignoring the expansion in money and the resulting inflation. Price increases are the consequence of this expansion of the money supply. He notes that weve experienced an expansion by 400% in M1; we are in hyperinflationary territory. Further spending on infrastructure using more printed money wont make this any better.

PREMIUM CONTENTChill Brands New Distribution deal – do the maths, check out the Arfur Daley lock-up listen to the silence
ByTom Winnifrith
Shares in the fraud Chill Brands (CHLL) have raced ahead today by 53% to 17.25p on the back of news of a new distribution deal. Yup, the market cap has gone up by c12 million on the back of a transaction worth 275,000 or less. Insane. You bet. But of course Chill does not give any numbers in its release and morons buying this stock have not done the maths or checked out Google Earth. I have, as you can see below.

PREMIUM CONTENTWell done Chairman Keith at the Royal Mail
ByChris Bailey
A few years ago I did own some shares in Royal Mail (RMG) on the basis that (1) it could be managed better as a private company rather than a state owned one and; (2) its property ownership in places such as the Nine Elms site in south London offered it the scope to even further improve its alright net cash position. Anyhow, I made a bit of money but lost interest in the shares at/around the 600p level in 2018. For many obvious reasons (fewer letters, worker angst and growing competition in the parcel business), the Royal Mail had a shocking couple of years after that, meaning by June last year I noted that its new chair Keith Williams had a big job going forward. And he certainly did but as shown by the near tripling of the share price since I doff my hat to him.

Eagle Eye Solutions – “comfortably ahead of management expectations”… but what does that mean financially?...BySteve Moore
Marketing technology group Eagle Eye Solutions (EYE) has announcedrevenue growth of 35% in Q1 versus the prior year, an increase from the Q4 FY21 growth of 27%. As a result, the board now expects adjusted EBITDA for the full year ending 30 June 2022 to be comfortably ahead of management expectations and the shares have currently responded circa 5% higher towards 600p. How does the valuation look?

PREMIUM CONTENTRed Rock Resources – DRC and projects updates, some interesting potential a Glencore legal bonus?
ByHotStockRockets
Red Rock Resources(RRR) has announced on its Democratic Republic of Congointerests that it looks forward to further exploration activity after it gets results from a last batch of Luanshimba project (Red Rock 80%) drill samples, that it is investigating cobalt-copper and lithium co-operations and thatrecent legal proceedings have been instituted by the companys local partner, VUP SA, which relate to the project assets(VUP project Red Rock 50.1%). After speaking to boss Andrew Bell, the latter is potentially very interesting.

Despite Rising Shares, Heres a Topping Trio that Could Enjoy Rising Share PricesByMalcolm Stacey
Hello, Share Slickers. Perhaps it might be an idea to look at a few companies Ive commended recently to see how theyre doing. Progress has been slow but sure. All ships rise or fall with the tide and as the Footsie has been moribund, any rise might be regarded as encouraging. And as many of us expect many stocks to rise with an accelerating economy, perhaps we should be hanging onto our hats.

PREMIUM CONTENTWill McColls have to do ANOTHER placing after today’s dismal warning? Do the maths!
ByTom Winnifrith
In August, McColls (MCLS) raised 33 million gross in a placing and open offer. Natch the crony capitalsts snaffled almost 3 million of that in fees which is perfectly understandable. FFS: Do you know what inflation is running at for upper class hookers and pure Charlie? Today there was dismal profits warning which begs the question of whether another bailout will be needed. Lets do the maths.

PREMIUM CONTENTWildcat Petroleum – this is a £57m grandiose farce of share price manipulation news puffery
ByTom Winnifrith
As a reminder: Standard listed Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT) lied with its first RNS last December 31 about having raised money. It had not. It now has sub 200,000 left and, ceteris paribus, will go bust by Easter. Its June 30 accounts were promised for October and are still not yet out, with no explanation for the delay. Its November AGM has had to be postponed with no new date given. But in what appears to be blatant market manipulation, its shares are roofing it. Why will the FCA do nothing? Today we have news

PREMIUM CONTENTDespite tech madness I still like shares in Sage Group
ByChris Bailey
From memory I have never used a product from British multinational enterprise software company Sage Group (SGE), but I know enough people who have and they are generally pretty happy with it. Over the last couple of years or so, I have been a bit more of a fan of the shares andnoted back in May that the stock was worth a buy with a 800p+ share price target. Back then the shares were about 650p and after todays full year numbers they are at a 750p share price. That is not too shabby then.

PREMIUM CONTENTDavid Bramhill of Union Jack Oil – No redemption in interview, just folly
ByTom Winnifrith, the Sheriff of AIM
My esteemed colleague Peter Brailey waxes lyrical about an interview that his friend and, in past days mine, David Bramhill of Union Jack Oil (UJO) has given with Proactive. Peter says that it is One of the best interviews I have watched. If that is the case he should get out more. To me this paid for interview is an exercise in folly and self-deception and makes Union Jack uninvestable.

PREMIUM CONTENTUnion Jack Oil – One of the best interviews I have watched?
ByPeter Brailey
David (Dave) Bramhill of Union Jack Oil (UJO) put an interview into the public domain yesterday. While I am not a shareholder currently, I was most impressed. It is worthy of noting any CEO / Exec Chairman who acts with apparent and demonstrable honesty and openness and I wish many more would do so. He did not duck hard questions far from it. I should say Tom disagrees with me viiolently and explains whyHERE.

PREMIUM CONTENTOil and Gas– I think an inflection point has been reached: oil could hit $200 and here is why
ByPeter Brailey
I commented recently how I saw the oil andgas price having positive movement upwards in the near term. Since then, a few things have changed, but that does not include the oil price, which is still around the $82ish level. I think an inflection point of pricing has now been reached however, it is not so much a case of fill your boots, as much as batten down the hatches. Two things happened yesterday that have moved my view on oil and gas.

As DNA Research becomes Ever More Vital, this British Pioneer Is Set to Cash inByMalcolm Stacey
Hello, Share Fans. What would TV be without DNA? Not only does the magic technology feature big time in most crime dramas but its also used in tracking down ancestors, the object of quite a few documentary series these days. Which leads me to look at a DNA sequencing company called Oxford Nanopore (ONT).
