Providing speech, language and auditory therapy to children with communication needs Lannon Twomey is a speech-language pathologist, or speech therapist, who evaluates, diagnoses and treats communication needs and disabilities in children. Lannon has worked with children with a variety of communication needs including articulation and phonological disorders, specific language impairments (expressive language and receptive language disorders), pragmatic and social language disorders, auditory processing disorders, language-based learning disabilities, pre-reading phonological/phonemic awareness needs, voice disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders (such as PDD, PDD-NOS and Asperger’s Syndrome). Although she enjoys working with children who present with all types of speech and language needs, Lannon has a special interest and expertise in working with children who are hearing impaired using hearing aids, cochlear implants and FM systems. Her therapy practices foster an auditory-oral approach to speech, language and auditory skill development.Lannon is a provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Her office is located in Harvard, Massachusetts.
