The award recognizes "innovative work which brillantly merges outreach and research, making her an internationally renowned scholar as well as an invaluable community member." Outstanding Senior Congratulations to Sean Current, the Department of Mathematics Outstanding Senior for Spring 2020! Sean plans to attend graduate school next year to continue his studies in Machine Learning after completion of his double major in Mathematics and Information Science Technology. Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award Alex Julia Hinojosa Christensen has been selected to receive theExcellence in Undergraduate Research award from the Department ofMathematics for 2020. Alex's research is in combinatorics, focusing onparking functions, and is set to be published in one of the topcombinatorics journals. She plans to pursue a PhD in Applied Mathematicsafter completing her double major in Mathematics and NutritionalSciences this spring. 2019 Toubassi Award Recipient Congratulations to Colby Brown our Fall 2019 Toubassi Award recipient!
