The plaque was installed recently to honor Miller and all sexual assault survivors. In 2015, Miller was assaulted on campus by Stanford student Brock Turner. The quote is an excerpt from Miller's victim impact statement. Last year, Miller revealed her identity and published a widely praised memoir, Know My Name.
