Welcome to the English Language Institute (ELI) The University of Florida English Language Institute offers intensive English programs that prepare students for using English in the real world. Our methods of instruction are based on current research in the fields of language teaching, acquisition, learning and assessment, and the more than 60 years of experience we have had teaching English to international students at the University of Florida. Our faculty and staff are committed to excellence in providing quality service and education.
