Please continue to check our website for further information..Monday 7th September 2020In what has been a very busy few days it has been lovely to have all of the students back in school and today marks the first day since March where we have all of our students and staff back in school at the same time.I want to take time to credit the students on the way they have returned to school, they have come in with a smile and a willingness to get back to being part of our school community and continue with their learning.The raft of measures we have taken to keep students as safe as we can, have been well respected by students and it is reassuring, but unsurprising, to see that they are all willing to do what is needed to look after each other. Because of the approach we have taken with students being in bubbles and movement controlled so there is as little interaction between year groups as possible, we are confident that the use of masks by students would not be beneficial and would perhaps have a detrimental effect on any possible transmission.As you are aware if anyone in your household has symptoms then everyone in the house should self-isolate in line with government guidance and arrange for a test for the symptomatic person. In the event of a negative result, when well enough students may return to school. If anyone in the household receives a positive test the whole household must follow the government guidelines for isolation. We would appreciate it if you kept the school informed in these situations.This term will look a little different in terms of our face to face interaction with parents but we plan to hold most of our usual events by video and would please ask that if there are any questions please do get in touch, in what will be different in terms of our normal interaction with parents and carers we are very keen this should continue albeit in a slightly different manner. Further details regarding Open Evening will follow shortly.
