COVID-19, a novel (new) coronavirus, is a rapidly-evolving global pandemic. Though it has been declared a national emergency, local and state government officials and public health departments, in consultation with federal officials, have been tasked with making decisions based on local conditions. The ADOT Motor Vehicle Division now issues plates withrandom sequencing. The change vastly increases the number and type of platesthat can be distributed.
