For information regarding the U.S. Service Academies ROTC Virtual Information Event, please click on the link below to view the flyer. Virtual Service Academy Information FACE COVERINGS - EXPECTATIONS LCSD #1 students will be expected to follow all current guidelines provided by Wyoming State Health and Governor’s Orders. These orders include the wearing of face coverings to access on-site instruction and as an effort to protect the health of the public. Orders may change at any time due to the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and prevention strategies. Any changes will be communicated by District personnel and school principals. Currently, (8-20-2020) the following expectations apply: Students/staff are required to wear facemasks when social distancing of 6 feet is not possible. Parents are asked to provide their students with comfortable, launderable masks. Masks will be required during transition periods. Public health orders are to be followed in all district settings—classrooms/buildings/district events/activities. Exceptions to wearing a face covering include: 1. Individuals with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering, including an individual with a medical condition for whom wearing a face-covering could cause harm or dangerously obstruct breathing; K-12 schools shall require documentation from the student’s parent/guardian, or the student’s medical provider, that the student meets this exception; 2. Individuals engaged in athletic activities or recovering from strenuous activity. Individuals must adhere to all guidelines defined for participation in athletics. Parents or guardians will be notified if a student has refused to wear a face covering as defined by WY State Health Orders, and will be required to leave school property until the student complies with WY State Health Orders and district regulations.
