Norby Go To WelcomePage Robbinsdale Area Schools will host a virtual information session for community members interested in running for the school board on Tuesday, July 21 at 6:30 PM. We are serving summer meals at Cooper and Northport for children 18 and younger on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! All are welcome! The report s conclusion was there were no financial improprieties or violations of law on the part of any School Board member, the Superintendent or employee of the District. Additionally, there were no conflicts of interest. The end result of the report is that the Office of the State Auditor made some technical recommendations regarding processes the Board will address, many of which are already being implemented. Today, I am writing to you with a heavy heart. In my thirty years as an educator, recent local events have been among the most challenging situations I have experienced. Cynthia Bergquist, an Education Assistant (EA) at Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School (RSI), was selected as Robbinsdale Area Schools 2020 Education Assistant of the Year! Ms. Bergquist works with students one-on-one (and in small group settings) in the special education resource room and provides additional support in classrooms. Eric Zuccola, a member of the English Department at Robbinsdale Cooper High School, was named the Robbinsdale Area Schools 2020 Teacher of the Year on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, during a virtual ceremony hosted by the Seven Dreams Education Foundation and Robbinsdale Federation of Teachers. Robbinsdale Area Schools is proud to announce the School of Engineering and Arts (SEA) is the only Minnesota school to be named a 2020 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School award honoree, according to the U.S. Department of Education. Schools who earn this recognition demonstrate significant achievement in the three Pillars of the Green Ribbon Schools Award: reducing environmental impact, improving health and wellness, and providing effective environmental education. Robbinsdale Area Schools has been honored with the prestigious Best Communities for Music Education award from The NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation.
