AC allowed me to come on and post a few thoughts on this gem.It would seem that starting 2002 the CIA was not pleased with the methods used by television media. The document is the reported text from a speech given by Lt. General Vernon Walters to the National Press Club. In the speech he draws two straw arguments; The media was to report everything. The Intelligence Community wants to keep everything a secret. I say straw arguments because the contention is they are mutually exclusive. In light of the straw argument, the use of the word "everything" indicates they must be, however what no one seemed to say was, "The public demands the truth!"

What is the difference between "everything" and the truth? Well, simply this; One is 95% crap while the other is light. I am one to contend we don't need to know everything because everything is probably, in the end, mostly nothing. Take for example the death of Bin Laden. Everything would include how the CIA supposedly lost and then found a guy who more than likely worked for them in the first place. Everything would also include how he was able build a mansion in Pakistan with not so much as a whisper (more evidence he was in cahoots with the CIA). You see, "everything" is fluff. Its filler. It's a way to fill the dead space in life so we the people get distracted by the shiny colorful objects instead of searching for real truth. "Everything" is the stuff movies are made out of. The truth is the ugly dark side of the story no one wants to know because it makes them uncomfortable.

Prepare to be uncomfortable.

We demand the truth. The truth of the drone killings. The truth about China's hack-war. The truth about "Anonymous" and their FBI co-conspirators. You see, we've been, and continue to be, fed shiny little shards of "everything" so as to prevent us from knowing the truth.

I'm going to attack this from a different direction. I don't care about the Rs and Ds and their insignificant squabbles over budgetary matters. In the end, they are the only ones who win. I'm interested in the first casualty of this fight; the truth.

Where are the survivors of the Benghazi attack? Why can't speak to them? Why are we getting reports that Hillary Clinton was involved in a plane crash in Iran? Iran??? Who is working to stop the Chinese from hacking everything on the planet?

I'm sorry these are disjointed and random thoughts with a twist of political spirit, but I'm frustrated by the rope-a-dope we are getting sucked into.
