BOLD Lofts

Entrepreneur Jesse Biter is continuing his quest to add more attainable housing targeted at young professionals in downtown Sarasota, pursuing a plan to add 90+ apartments next to BOLD Cowork Sarasota. BOLD Lofts will be a multi-story building located at Second Street and Adelia Street.

Main Plaza

Biter’s most recent purchase is the Main Plaza in downtown Sarasota. Main Plaza is an iconic piece of Sarasota and is currently home to Regal Hollywood 20 and a variety of other businesses.

PropLogix

(Formerly, Professional Lien Search) While hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro for 8 days, Biter had some time to discuss business with his best friends. They told him all about their side business, Professional Lien Search (PLS). Biter joined PLS in October of 2014, and over the next 12 months, PLS went from a meager revenue and a few employees, to one of America’s fastest growing companies with over 60 employees.

Dealers United

In 2011, Biter partnered with Matt Buchanan after the two realized the increasing hardships for small and independent car dealers. They founded Dealers United to help dealers save time and money when it comes to making important purchasing decisions. So far Dealers United has saved car dealers over $5 million dollars.

BOLD Cowork Sarasota

Purchasing the old downtown Century Bank building in downtown Sarasota, Jesse Biter had intentions of renovating it into an incubator for technology startup companies. What started as a dream, today has become a reality, with more than 50 companies laying claim to space in Biter’s building. BOLD Cowork Sarasota serves a multitude of startups, freelancers, & entrepreneurs.

Louie’s Modern

With the closing of Downtown Sarasota’s University Club, residents feared there would no longer be a place for downtown events. Partnering with Downtown Sarasota restaurant owner, Steve Seidensticker, Biter purchased a very prominent commercial real estate property in order to bring the life back to the downtown area. Now known as Louie’s Modern, the once vacant lot has blossomed into a bustling location, as well as a successful investment.

Legacy Trail Extension

Jesse Biter is an avid cyclist and believes that great trails make for a great community.  Biter teamed up with the Friends of Legacy Trail to help extend the Legacy Trail an additional 8 miles in to the heart of Sarasota.  Please consider getting involved with this worthwhile project. For more information, or to donate, visit the Friends of The Legacy Trail website.

HomeNet Automotive

This is where it all began, back in the basement of Biter’s parent’s home. While working at a car dealership during his high school years, Biter found ways to help the owners hack in to their management system and access information in new and different ways. As his co-workers branched out to other dealerships, they called on Biter to come help them with the same technology solutions he had implemented. In 1996 HomeNet was born. After 14 years of month-over-month growth, Biter sold HomeNet to AutoTrader in December of 2010. While it was tough to part ways, Biter takes comfort in seeing many of the same employees thriving at his old company.

Jesse and his team don’t work for money.  Huh?  Of course money is a by-product of their work, however, they work to achieve a goal.  They work for purpose.  At each of Jesse’s company, his goal was never to make another buck.  Whether it was to help car dealers save time & money, help home buyers protect their purchase, help young professionals in Sarasota have an affordable place to live, etc, Jesse’s work has always been about the mission.

Real Estate Development

Jesse’s goal in real estate is to make his neighborhood a better place. Jesse only owns commercial property located in his backyard. From Louies Modern, to the HuB, all the way to Main Plaza, Jesse’s projects are all about making downtown Sarasota a better place to Live, Work and Play.
