Employer Partner Coolray Visits Norcross Campus Thank you, Andy Piercefield, President of Coolray Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electrical, for visiting our Norcross campus. Our HVAC students were eager to hear more about CoolRay and receive interview tips, advice on how to be a successful technician, and suggestions for development and growth as they progress in their careers. Investments this year in new HVAC lab and equipment. Continue to work towards partnerships, develop students with the right skills that lead to fulfilling careers. Learning Continues for Altierus Students Despite COVID-19 Like many colleges and universities across the country, Altierus was forced to end on-campus classes and events due to COVID-19; however, our students were able to continue their courses remotely. Thanks to the blended format of all Altierus Career College s programs, and the fact that all students receive iPads when they enroll, the transition to virtually learning came together rather seamlessly. Students continue to be placed in new jobs, thanks to the dedicated career services teams. Healthcare workers and tradespeople, who provide essential services, are in-demand more than ever before. Professional Skills Sets Altierus Students Up for Success We often hear employers tout the importance of professional skills. They say professional skills can be even more valuable than technical skills which can be taught on the job. Altierus is launching a new professional skills course to help students stand out to employers and gain skills they ll use throughout their career. During their program, students will learn how to work on a team, communicate, solve problems, and more. As they complete courses, students will earn completion badges they can post to Linkedin, demonstrating to employers they re proficient in these professional skills.
