Next SAT is August 24th and will be given monthly through December, possibly online in addition to in-person at available test sites.The June 13th ACT is still on. Deadline for registration is May 5th. There will also be a June 20th ACT. The scheduled July 18th ACT will be offered along with a July 25th ACT. All tests will be offered in person at available test sites.There will be a practice online ACT test available in August for students to do from home. Official online ACT tests will be available sometime before December.Beginning in September, students can retake sections of the ACT as desired. If students wait until then to take the ACT, they have to wait until October to be able to retake individual sections only.It is highly recommended that an earlier ACT test be taken, so that students can utilize the option to retake only desired sections in September. Others don't require the SAT or ACT at all. I do not recommend skipping the test(s)! Colleges are giving a false sense of comfort when they adopt test-optional policies. They really just want as many students as possible to apply so they can be as selective as possible! Who's going to go forward? The student who turns in a 1500 SAT score or the one who didn't take it? Colleges are going to admit the most competitive students. Some students may need only a few lessons, while others may need more. Ken's program offers flexibility regarding students' needs and schedules, and Ken can assess those needs after a couple of lessons. It should be noted that students get out of Ken's program what they put into it. In addition to once or twice weekly class meetings, SAT/ACT homework assignments are given in the areas of critical reading, math, writing skills, and vocabulary.
