In these trying times please keep apprised of briefings from UH and the Division of Research (DoR). Click below for more information. UH COVID-19: UH COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) Latest Updates (click)DoR: DOR COVID-19 Information and Resources (click)Faculty, students and staff should be sure their contact information is updated on the UH website. Welcome to the TcSUH website that describes our current organization, research programs, collaborations with industry and activities in education and outreach. The website also provides links to our publications and recent news and events. TcSUH is a large multidisciplinary university-based superconductivity and advanced materials research center, with over 200 faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, housed in the Houston Science Center and several other buildings on the University of Houston campus. “Visit TcSUH, where we discover new high temperature superconducting-, energy and nano-materials, advance their applications with partnerships with industry, and disseminate knowledge through education, outreach, and technology transfer for the benefit of the public and the environment.” - Zhifeng Ren, Director The March – April TcSUH Newsletter is AvailableThe March – April newsletter contains highlights of TcSUH faculty and students. We hope this communication will keep you abreast of our activities and encourage you to stay in touch. We continue to work from home and teach online, and have risen to the occasion. As higher education and most segments of society enter a new era, we applaud our members who work to find a balance between health and family needs, and research productivity.View Latest NewsletterFeatured TcSUH seminars, symposiums, Bi-Weekly and special events. We have over 200 faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, and visiting scholars from five departments who work to discover and improve new materials, advance science and engineering, and transfer breakthroughs in technology to the industrial sector, impacting the emerging HTS electric power community, the medical community and other sectors. The Center’s multidisciplinary research programs are training the next generation of scientists and engineers. TcSUH alumni play key leadership roles in U.S. and international industries, government laboratories and universities. We are housed in the Houston Science Center and several other buildings on the University of Houston campus. The Center draws personnel from the departments of physics, chemistry, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and chemical and biomolecular engineering that create and develop high temperature superconducting (HTS) and advanced materials and further their fundamental understanding, and applications. We have spun off four national research centers and six start-up companies.
