Below you will find abrief description followed by alink to each school website where you can find adetailed plan. Schools have also shared information on their facebook pages. Press Release Principal Glass and the Anderson County High School SBDM is excited to announce the hire of our new Head Football Coach Mark Palmer. Coach Palmer comes to us from Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring Virginia where he currently serves as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director. Kindergarten Enrollment Update The Kindergarten Enrollment Day that was previously scheduled for this Saturday March 28th will not take place at this time. The district office will continue to accept enrollment applications for new Kindergarten students that are not currently enrolled with AC Schools. Families with preschool students currently enrolled at ECC do not need to complete this application and are not required to complete any action at this time to establish enrollment for the next school year. The application is necessary for only those that are not currently enrolled with us. Applications can be obtained from the links below, AC Schools Facebook, from the Anderson County Schools website and through US Mail by request to Travis Harley at 839-3406. Press Release At the recommendation of Governor Beshear, ACSchools will be extending the current school closing through the end of the school year. As recommended by the Kentucky Department of Education, we will finish the year practicing Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Teachers and staff will continue to be available for students from 8am to 3pm daily. We value your partnership and realize this is astressful time. If you have questions or need assistance, please call your school or email your child’s teacher(s). We are here to serve and want to make this experience apositive one for all. Dear Parents and Families of Students with Individual Education Programs (IEPs): During this time of school closures due to COVID-19, there are some important things to remember. Any actions taken by adistrict or school regarding closures are for the safety of all students, families, school personnel and community members. As districts are determining the most appropriate steps to ensure student and staff safety, we want to provide you with guidance relating to students with disabilities and their services. It is extremely important for families and schools to collaborate and communicate regarding services for students with disabilities. Follow the link above to view the video. ACHS Graduation Information ACHS graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:30 AM at Alltech Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. ACSchools Local Planning Committee Forum and Meeting The Anderson County Schools’ will conduct a Public Forum and meeting of the LocalPlanning Committee on March 9, 2020, at the Anderson County Board of EducationOffice, 1160 Bypass North, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 at 5:30 p.m.At the February 23, 2020, meeting, architect Kevin Locke presented the committee with the KDE mandated needs assessment (linked below). Principals and directors also shared additional information and were present to answer questions. Anderson County Long Range Planning Committee The 20 member Anderson County Long Range Planning Committee (LPC) met Monday, February 3rd in the first of a series of meetings and public forums to start developing the next district facilities plan. The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) District Facilities Plan (DFP) process is structured to include two training/orientation meetings and an Architectural analysis of district needs.
