November kit contains directions for our Mayflower experiment. All STEM kits are for ages 8-13. Kentland Library has started their annual book sale. All items are $.50 each. We are planning to have some items outside weather permitting and the rest spaced throughout the building. Items include over 300 DVD S, audio books on CD, cookbooks, fiction and nonfiction books for all ages with quite a few kids books. Hope to see you. Thanks for your support of the library. In accordance with the Governor s new mandate, beginning Monday July 27th, Kentland Public Library will require each person entering our building over the age of eight to wear a face mask.This action is being taken to safeguard our community. We understand that not everyone may have had time to acquire a mask so we will have some disposable masks available upon request.Our library will also continue to provide curbside pickup upon request.Our Wi-Fi is still accessible from our parking lot.We ask that if there is a complaint about masks it be referred to the Governor’s task force, please continue to treat our staff with courtesy.We reserve the right to ask patrons who are harassing staff to leave. We are open have resumed our regularly scheduled hours of business.We ask that when you enter the building you follow social distancing guidelines; wear a face mask; keep your visit to the library to 30 minutes or less. For the health of our patrons staff we are asking parents to accompany any child 13 under when you are visiting the library. Those children 14 to 17 may use the library to browse for reading materials with visits of 30 minutes or less. There will be a limited number of computers available for public use sessions are limited to 30 minutes due to social distancing.Available patron services include copying, faxing, printing.Patrons will be using self-check in check out of library materials though staff will be available to assist patrons as needed.For those patrons not quite ready to enter the library, we are continuing to offer curbside delivery of library materials.The library s WI-FI continues to be available outside the library if using the WI-FI inside the library you will be limited to 30 minutes as there is limited seating space.For the health safety of patrons staff we are continuing to quarantine library materials for 72 hours that are returned in the library book return those library materials that are returned through the patron self check in process The library is waiving all fines on returned overdue library materials. We are looking forward to seeing familiar new faces as we navigate this new era of social distancing in your public library.Stop on by today, return your old titles and check out some new ones!
