University and Yale University. PATH is a project to develop effective counseling for men who have sex with men (MSM) and have been recently diagnosed with HIV. PATH is designed to promote positive health behaviors, reduce HIV risk and increase selfawareness. PATH provides one-on-one counseling and financial compensation for participants.PATH is designed for men who have been diagnosed with HIV (within the past 12 months); are 18 and older; engage in sexual activity with other men; and speak and understand English.PATH is designed for men who have been diagnosed with HIV (within the past 12 months), are 18 and older, engage in sexual activity with other men, and speak and understand English. Why Participate? Participants become a part of an innovative study that will ensure the effective delivery of one-on-one HIV counseling. Through partnerships with local health centers, participants will have access to certified counselors. Participants can be referred to an extensive network for additional care and services. Participants may choose from multiple locations for counseling throughout Manhattan. Participants receive financial compensation for participation. Privacy and confidentiality are top priority.
