Description:

Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH) creates and maintains safe, healthy, and sustainable housing with services for diverse residents including families, seniors, and people with disabilities in Washington County and SW Portland. We organize services to ensure housing success and opportunity and link with community partners so that our residents are successful and surrounded with support and opportunity. Building Housing; Building Lives! CPAH values Equity and Inclusion CPAH wants to be part of a world where all can participate and reach their full potential. We believe that race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or any other characteristic of this nature should not be something that can predict success or failure. We work to be part of the solution so that our community is known for its ability to address equity and inclusion. Job Openings: None currently CPAH volunteer opportunities include: Working with kids in our After School and Summer Youth programs, or with senior citizens in our apartment communities; Yoga instructor at CPAH properties; helping with CPAH’s Annual Backpacks giveaway; serving on the CPAH Board, or serving on a CPAH committee (such as Resident Services, Housing, Finance, and HomeWord Bound, CPAH’s annual fundraising gala). Click here for volunteer info, or e-mail Liz Hearn. Cedar Grove, at NW Cornell and NW Murray, will provide quality affordable housing in a high opportunity, highly-walkable area, connect low-income individuals with excellent access to jobs, and serve as a gateway and gathering place for the larger Cedar Mill Community. The building will have 44 apartments, ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms, in four stories with an elevator. The project will also have a community plaza with a small park. Construction began December 2019; building will be lease-ready in late 2020. Red Rock Creek Commons will be among the first new developments within the Tigard Triangle Urban Renewal Area. The site on 68th Parkway is near SW Pacific Hwy/99W, with convenient access to high-frequency transit, grocery stores, PCC and potential employers. The building will have 48 one bedroom apartments – to serve individuals and small households – in four stories with an elevator, a community room for services and activities, and access to the natural area around Red Rock Creek. Construction began Oct 2019; RRCC will be lease-ready in 2020. CPAH will completely renovate the Joyce Hotel in downtown Portland, providing 66 units of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for people who have been homeless, are vulnerable, and who need both subsidized housing and services to be successful. Voluntary supportive services will be offered onsite through a collaboration of service providers: Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, NARA, and Cascade AIDS Project. The Joyce will also include ground-floor commercial space for women-owned, minority-owned and emerging small businesses through Prosper Portland.
