The Tri City Board of Directors would like to take a moment to update you on the steps we're taking to ensure everyone's safety if we're given the go ahead for football and cheer this fall.Sanitation: While helmets are only required to be reconditioned and recertified every other year, Tri Cities helmets are always reconditioned and recertified every year. During this certification process they are cleaned and sanitized We will wash and sanitize the pants and shoulder pads that are given out to each player as well We will wash and sanitize footballs and tackling dummys, etc. We will wash and sanitize poms, mats, etc for cheer All football jerseys, game and practice, will be new this year We're exploring gettingmasks for all players and requiring gloves Tri Cities Football Cheer is blessed to have a lot of room with the St. Charles Park District at James O Breen park with 3 game fields and 3 practice fields, along with East Side Sports complex to facilitate any social distancing and maximum group sizes. We'll also work with our partnersat Moosehart and Geneva Park District for additional options if needed. Equipment pickup: We'll send details as we get closer to the dates, but it will be by appointment with separate stations setup to ensure distancing as needed. We're working on a plan for fitting and ordering cheer uniforms and will communicate this separately FULL REFUNDS will be given if no football or cheer season takes place. In the event the season starts but something then stops it: If practices have started but no games have been played, a full refund minus a helmet reconditioning fee and cost of one jersey to keep will be given. If games have started and then the rest of the season is canceled, a prorated refund will be given based on expenses already incurred. Cheer refund will be prorated based on expenses already incurred as well. We have updated our system to setup a $0 down registration with payments set for 7/10 and 8/9. We do this to give you the ability to register without having to put any money down and give us the flexibility to stop the payments if changes are made before they are due. This helps us plan for the season as well by knowing how many coaches, jerseys, etc. we need. If you're already registered and on our paymentplan, your payments have been pushed back 30 days (5/15 auto payment is now 6/14, 6/10 auto payment is now 7/10, and 7/10 auto payment is now 8/9) If you're already registered and would like to modify your registration to take advantage of the $0 down registration, please emailfinance@tricitychargers.orgto request. Building Connections with young athletes and their families across the Tri City area that move beyond the field, and expand the Charger Family. Teaching Heads Up Safe Tackling, Certified Coaches trained in concussion protocol, and 5-star helmets re-certified every year. Creating Leaders on the Field, in the Classroom, and in the Community. Supporting Giant Steps, Lazarus House and other organizations in the community. Competing at the National Level for the last 7 years, with 5 National Champion Teams, 4 Runner Ups, and 1 third place finisher. The Board of Directors have been fielding many calls, texts, and emails regarding the recent news of TCC joining the BGYFL.  As Gary mentioned in the initial email regarding the transition, The Board did a thorough analysis of the area options.  BGYFL fit our program the best, for now, and for many seasons to come.  For a few seasons now, the registration numbers have been declining for a multitude of reasons.  Regarding TCC, most of our decline can be attributed to our community now being called “mature” W Read Story
