Read more here. I was reflecting on my SIOM education while at a class over the weekend... Our physical medicine education was really influential to me. There were so many different parts to our education at SIOM and my practice style and focus has taken some interesting turns since graduating, but has eventually steered me right back to physical medicine. I just wanted to let you know I’m grateful for the education that I received at SIOM. It really built the foundation for clinical reasoning and confident needling, two things that have played a big role in becoming a more effective orthopedic acupuncturist. Ramona Emerson, a CIC Board Member recently published an opinion piece in Cosmopolitan Magazine. In this post, Kathy Taromina and Craig Mitchell provide some thoughts about the decision to temporarily close the school teaching clinic. They share these thoughts with the goal of helping other practitioners considering their own plans for their private practice clinics.
