This intensive five-week program was created to give interested admitted students a strong jump start to both their coursework and the UConn experience.* Are you graduating from high school this spring? UConn First Summer will help with the transition to college by offering a jump start to your academic career. It will also provide you with the opportunity to explore the main campus and surrounding communities and to gain skills for college success. Are you an incoming transfer student? UConn First Summer will offer you the chance to get a foothold on your UConn career, build relationships with peers and faculty, and establish important ties to the UConn community. During UConn First Summer, you will enroll in two academic courses and take part in a range of social, cultural, educational and recreational activities that will get you moving, thinking, and interacting with others.
