Silverstring Media is a new media design and production company in Vancouver, BC. We are storytellers and game designers, writers and architects. We believe in pushing the boundaries of digital media, interactive experiences, and what it means to be a game. We are dedicated to experimentation in form and content, and in bringing diversity to our stories and culture.
Silverstring has three branches: our studio arm produces original content including games, music, and fiction; our consultancy arm works with clients as writers and designers to make your projects better; and our critical publishing arm seeks to support the industry by publishing top-level artistic criticism and explorations.

Silverstring Media is a queer-led videogame and narrative design studio, crafting original games and providing services in digital place-making and storytelling. With leadership based in Vancouver, BC and a team of diverse talents across Canada, each of us brings a unique voice and multiple valued perspectives to the development process.
We are world-builders. We strive to push the boundaries of digital media, narratives, and architectural experiences, experimenting with form and content. Our aim is to bring diversity and hope to our stories and culture.
Silverstring Media has served as a vital and vibrant voice within narrative indie games for a decade, creating a string of short experimental titles, supporting the “altgames” scene, and working as narrative consultants on indie darlings including Celeste, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, Manifold Garden, and Wandersong. After several years of partnering with other, larger, studios to produce games such as Flow Weaver on the Oculus Quest, we began the process of growing Silverstring into a fully-fledged and self-contained team. In 2022, we released our first major in-house title, Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between, to critical acclaim.
