Polish Pickup May 2024 It Came from Outer Space: Swamp Gloss Always Has Been

 *press sample*

Hello again, I'm back so soon! Tonight I've got the other Polish Pickup shade to share with you this month. I've purchased many Swamp Gloss shades over the years, so I was so happy to win the opportunity to swatch this month's PPU shade. Again, this month's theme is "It Came from Outer Space" which I thought was a theme in the past, but I think I'm wrong. I did a little searching, but I can't find another space PPU theme.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, May 3rd and ends on Monday, May 6th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which can happen, but you have to be in the Facebook group for the notification) on the PPU website.

Swamp Gloss Indie Polish Always Has Been (3 coats)
Inspiration: It's all Ohio Space Meme
Price: $13.50
Bottle Limit: 500 bottles

I love Swamp Gloss, and I love their branding. Give me more Swampy Sammie. Always Has been is a flakie bomb. It's a holographic flakie base, with metallic and matte flakes and iridescent color-shifting flakes. It has a clear base, so I ended up using three coats for full opacity. That said, I didn't find I needed any base color to cover the nail line (which you can totally do if you want to).  I used a glitter-smoothing topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to give a glassy-smooth finish. I could see this one looking cool with a matte finish, too.

You can find out more about Swamp Gloss on their website, Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok pages.

Polish Pickup May 2024 It Came from Outer Space: Noodles Nail Polish Zetus Lapetus

 *press sample*

New month, new Polish Pickup! I have two polishes this month, and I figured I'd just give them separate posts to give them their time in the spotlight. This month's theme is Outer Space and I'm loving it. My husband is more of the space nerd in the pair, but I'm still a fan of it. Wish listing started today, so get that cart ready!

Noodles Nail Polish Zetus Lapetus (2 coats)
Inspiration: Xenon Girl of the 21st Century
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: 200 bottles

I think I'm just too old for this reference because I had to Google Xenon Girl of the 21st Century because I didn't know what it was. We ended up watching this clip of the girl repeating Zetus Lapetus over and over and it made us laugh. Since then, we've referenced it many times. Anyway, Zetus Lapetus the polish is a light blue crelly base with sapphire/raspberry/pink/purple glitter in various hexagonal shapes with holo silver flakes. I'm really living for the larger pink and purple glitters in this one. I found this one needed just 2 coats for full opacity, but it does dry with lots of texture due to all the glitters, so bust out that glitter smoothing topcoat.

Don't forget, this one does have a bottle limit, so if you're interested, don't wait too long to purchase. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group

Tonight I've got the new Noodles Nail Polish Garden Collection to share with you. This is a 6-piece set which features crellies and glitter toppers. They will be available this Friday, April 26th at 6 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website for $10.50 each.

As always, this is gonna be a picture-heavy post, so shall we get started?

Polish Pickup April 2024 Video Games from Noodles Nail Polish: Hop to It

 *press sample*

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Hot take: Easter has the best candy of all the holidays. There, I said it. Give me all the jelly beans, peeps, chocolate eggs, etc. I love April and I love video games which is fitting because this month's Polish Pickup theme just happens to be video games. Wish listing starts tomorrow (Sunday), so get ready to put your cart together.

The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, April 5th and ends on Monday, April 8th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which can happen, but you have to be in the Facebook group for the notification) on the PPU website.

Noodles Nail Polish Hop to It (3 coats)
Inspiration: Arcade game Q*bert
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: 200

Did I have to Google Q*bert? Yes. I'm honestly not sure if I've ever played it. I had to have! The character looks super cute though. I just asked my husband, and he said he definitely played it when he was a kid. Anyway, Hop to It is such a cool nail polish! It's a scattered holo base with blue/gold/green/indigo shifting flakes, black/neon green/light blue matte glitters, and sapphire metallic glitters in a clear base. You can use this one as a glitter topper with 1 coat over a base color, but I knew I wanted to see this one on its own.  Shown here is 3 thin coats, but you could probably get the same result if you used 2 thicker coats as well. If you look closely, you can see a little bit of nail, but it's not noticeable in person. Obviously this one dries with lots of texture due to all the glitter, so I recommend a glitter-smoothing topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to smooth it all out. I have a vast polish collection, and I can honestly say I don't have any polishes that look like this one. I absolutely love it!

Wishlisting for Polish Pickup starts tomorrow, so get ready to go shopping! Don't forget, this one does have a bottle limit, so if you're interested, don't wait too long to purchase. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group

Zoya Color of the Month March 2024: Lucky

 *press sample*

New month, new Color of the Month polish from Zoya. When you think of March, you know it's all about St. Patrick's Day! Last Sunday people celebrated the day, but I'm guessing lots of people ended up actually celebrating on Saturday instead. I wanted to get this post out as soon as possible, because these limited edition polishes from Zoya are arouhttps://www.artofbeauty.com/content/item/Nail-Polish-Lucky-ZP3017.htmlnd for approximately a month. It may be April 1st, or it could be later in the month, but none of the other COTM shades are currently available, so there's that. This month we have Lucky, and it retails for $12 and you can get free shipping with code LUCKY.

Zoya Lucky (2 coats)

What a holiday-appropriate polish! Lucky is a glittery leafy green base with tons of gold and blue holographic glitters. It's extremely eye-catching, and full of bling. I expected to need 3 coats to fully cover the nail, but surprisingly it was opaque in just 2 coats. Oh, and the formula was just impeccable. I went ahead and used a glitter-smoothing topcoat followed by at QDTC for the photos, but you could probably get away with just a coat of topcoat for a mostly smooth finish. But like any glitter polish, this one will take some time to remove. Use a peel-off base coat, or soak it off with some cotton balls and nail clip covers to make it easier for yourself.

You can find out more about Zoya on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. They often have sales, so check their social media pages periodically.
