We expect that you have accessed this website because you’d like to know more about procrastination or that you’re trying to solve the procrastination puzzle in your own life. If this is the case, we invite you to check out Tim’s recent series on the Waking Up app .

Tim created this series for Waking Up in 2023, and it provides the most up-to-date concise summary of why we procrastinate as well as evidence-based strategies for change. A great benefit of the series being part of the Waking Up app is that the resources that you may need to facilitate change in your life are provided in the app by some of the best meditation teachers, scientists, psychologists/psychotherapists and philosophers in the world. Tim’s series Solving the Procrastination Puzzle will help point you in the direction of strategies and resources that will help you stop procrastinating if that is your goal.

Please note that Tim receives no compensation or gain from your use of the Waking Up app. Tim was an active user of the app before he was invited to create the series, and he still uses the app daily. We invite you to explore it simply because it’s an excellent resource for personal development. Accessing the Waking Up app from the link above provides you one month free access to the app; more than enough time to listen to the series by Tim and to explore other resources on the app. You can decide if any further investment on your part is worth it (and please note that the folks at Waking Up make the app available free for anyone who can’t afford it. As they say, “please don’t let money be the reason why someone doesn’t join Waking Up”).

Finally, now that Tim has retired from university life, procrastination.ca has transformed from being an active academic research group to a repository of information related to Tim’s research, archived podcasts, blog posts and other resources.  Some of these resources are provided with links below.
