{"text":"The Northvale School District will once again be participating in the Bergen County Teacher/Educational Services Professionals Recognition Program. The program acknowledges innovative and dedicated teachers and educational services professionals. It was developed for the purpose of acknowledging those who exhibit outstanding performance, and the rationale for this program is based on the premise that teaching excellence is one of the most significant factors impacting student achievement and the quality of public schools. Each school building in Bergen County can select one staff member per year and the criteria for consideration and selection is: Serves as an exceptionally skilled and dedicated educator in a public school Inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn Demonstrates leadership and innovation in and outside the classroom Has the respect and admiration of students, parents, colleagues, and administrators Plays an active role in the school community I am pleased to inform you that the Northvale Public School's staff member who will be receiving the award this year is Mr. Michael O'Reilly. Mr. O'Reilly has been employed in Northvale since 2017 and has positively impacted the lives of many students and families. He cares greatly for his music and drama students and has dedicated himself to their success and well-being. To honor Mr. O'Reilly he will be attending an awards ceremony and luncheon at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe on May 23 with the other recipients from throughout Bergen County.
