About Us
Located just five blocks from Heinz Field, we offer one of the area's largest and best sounding tracking rooms. Our talented team of producers, engineers, and musicians provide world class service and results, at a very competitive rate. Mr. Smalls Recording and Mastering has the facility, equipment, and expertise to give you the best possible recording studio experience. We take pride in all the projects we do, and consider them a representation of ourselves as well as our clients. We work with all styles of music and all levels of musicians. Everyone from Platinum selling artists, to local artists making their first demo.
Mr. Smalls Recording and Mastering offers an enormous live room with up to three additional isolation rooms. All of our rooms are acoustically designed and treated to ensure the best possible sound. We present a warm and relaxed setting, with great gear and years of experience.
Services
Mr. Smalls Studio is primarily a recording studio and music production facility. We record, mix, and master singles, demos, and full length albums for solo musicians and bands. We specialize in walking our clients through the entire process of creating an album. We stand out from most Pittsburgh based recording studio’s because we want to be involved before you record your first note in the studio. Equipment
We use Pro Tools HDX as our main recording format, along with a great deal analog and tube equipment. This combination gives you the best of both technologies, the warmth of analog, with the clarity and editing power of digital.
We also have a unique system for headphones. Each musician gets their own headphone mixing station. You control the blend of instruments so you hear everything exactly how you want.
