Moore Public Schools Child Nutrition Department is dedicated to feeding our student body a nutritious meals daily for breakfast and lunch.

Without proper nutrition, it’s difficult for a child to succeed. Moore Public Schools provides students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet students’ health and nutrition needs.

 The Child Nutrition department is a 250+ member team of food and nutrition professionals dedicated to providing more than 2.6 million healthy meals to students every year.  Child Nutrition is responsible for operating and maintaining 35 kitchens throughout the district, as well as a alternative site. As part of the USDA’s National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, All Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

The Child Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to student's health, well-being, and ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to various affordable and appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs.

Moore Public Schools Child Nutrition Program provides meals for all students, including Pre-k half-day programs and Internet Based Instruction Programs.

Pre-kindergarten half day programs. Students in the half day programs may receive the meal offered the part of the day they are not in attendance as long as the parent stays with their child during the meal. 

The option is being offered as a service for students that may need the additional meal at a reasonable price. 

  • Example—If I am a morning Pre-K –I can already come and eat breakfast (no parent there) …. but if my parent/guardian wants to come up and take me to lunch, they can. 
  • If I am an afternoon Pre-K –my parent can bring me up for breakfast or lunch but I must have a parent/guardian there. 

Meal times vary by site, please check with your building for meal start times. 

 Internet-Based Instruction Program (IBI) - IBI students may access a school meal Monday through Thursday at  VISTA between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.  Any IBI students that choose to come to VISTA for a meal during these times will be allowed to eat in the cafeteria.  The meal will need to stay on campus and be consumed on-site.

Breakfast and lunch prices are as follows:

Student Breakfast is $.30 for reduced students and $1.50 for full-paid students 

Student Lunch is $.40 for reduced students and $3.00 for full-paid students 

Adult/Teacher Breakfast           $3.00

Adult/Teacher Lunch                $5.00

 

The goal of Moore Public Schools Child Nutrition Program is to provide students, teachers, and staff nutritious meals at a reasonable price and to provide unparalleled service to the students and patrons.

The Child Nutrition program participates in the National School Lunch Program, therefore, any student whose family qualifies according to the criteria as set forth by the national program may be eligible for free or reduced meals. Applications for free or reduced eligibility may be completed online, Moore Schools Online Free & Reduced Meal Application, or obtained at the Child Nutrition Central Office, 615 S. Tower Drive, Moore, or from the cafeteria manager at the school where the student attends. All meals meet or exceed the nutritional requirements as prescribed by the Oklahoma State Child Nutrition Department and the National School Lunch Program.

All schools in the district are equipped with a “state of the art” Horizon Software OneSource computer system that allows students, teachers, and staff members to prepay for meals if they so desire or they may pay cash. Parents can now log on to www.mypaymentsplus.com and make payments by check or credit card, view your child's account history, set up auto pay and e-mail alerts for low balance. Payments can also be made by phone by calling toll free
