Welcome

Welcome to the Cramond Boat Club, situated at the mouth of the River Almond, only 4 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.

We cater for all types of small craft, including dinghies, small cruisers and motorboats. The Club organises dinghy and keelboat racing, open regattas, cruises and family fun days.

The Cramond Boat Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and is approved for training Club members in the RYA National Sailing and Power Boating schemes.

The clubhouse includes changing rooms, workshop and storage as well as a bar and function room.

See Monkeys Underway

Recently our kids training programme (The Sea Monkeys) got underway. The weather on the day was a bit feisty with a moderate north easterly but all got on the water and had a great introduction to sailing! Spring 2 and Cadets

Today we had the second event in our dinghy Spring Series combined with Cadet Training. The Sailing conditions were very pleasant with a light and warm wind from the southwest. The racing was close with Campbell Calder in his GP14 posting two bullets closely followed by Alan Mackenzie in his Laser with two second places. Special mention to Leonie Griffin who had Pavol Mraz and his family crewing today and is the current series leader. More »

Free Sail & L1/2 Training

Yesterday Saturday 4 May we had a Free Sail and part two of our adult level 1/2 sailing course. We had a very light north east wind which was with us for our entire three hours on the water. Making Progress

During the past few months the 'Wednesday Club' has been quietly working away at maintenance and tidying work around the clubhouse and workshops. Yesterday, 1 May, we at last got the chance to start one of our major outdoor projects all of these having been been delayed due to the very long spell of inclement weather we have just experienced.
