Class Descriptions
Class Descriptions
These are basic class descriptions based on age appropriate skills, but are subject to change based on the individualized needs of the students and groups. This is just a general guideline for parents and dancers to have an understanding of some of the activities that will take place throughout the year. Most of our classes are Ballet classes.
Also, please note that the ages listed beside each class are just a general guideline. There is a multitude of reasons why a child may be purposefully placed in a group that is not the “assigned” age group below. For instance, time, day, and scheduling issues, best placement for the child based on experience or level of performance, or the number of children in a particular age group may be the determinant of the assigned group for the child.
Not all classes are scheduled each Semester. Scheduling is based on interest in the classes offered!

This will help to build creativity, social skills, and having fun with exercise. Registration Fee
A $15 yearly registration fee is required before classes begin in the fall. This fee covers expenses such as insurance, supplies (cd’s, music, handouts, etc.), and additional rehearsals that may be needed for some groups.
Recital Fee
A $25 recital fee is required of all dancers who plan to participate in the December recital.
A $25 recital fee is required of all dancers who plan to participate in the May recital. This fee covers rental and additional fees for the Auditorium, scenery/backdrop, music, programs, etc. This fee may vary from year to year, depending on the recital costs for that particular year. There will be no cost of admission at the recital.
Costumes
The number of costumes that a dancer will need will depend on the number of routines he/she will be performing in the recital.
The cost of one costume usually ranges from $25-$50. We try to keep the cost of the costumes low without sacrificing the quality of the pieces we order.
Often, groups will need additional props, tights, etc. in addition to their costumes.
Optional Costs
At times, we may have t-shirts, warm-ups, etc. available for those dancers and/or parents who may be interested in making a purchase when we do. If an order is going to be placed, a sign will usually be posted in the front lobby in advance.
Some dancers may have the option to participate within a group or individually in a competition(s). These fees vary depending on the group, routine, and/or competition.
