It would be really nice if Rockstar Games would release some information on the next ‘possible’ game in the Red Dead series.

Rockstar San DiegoThe phenomenal release of Red Dead Redemption, published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar San Diego, in 2010 has kept gamers constantly replaying the wonderful (and tragic) story of John Marston.

Marston was a gunslinger and an outlaw gang member. He met his wife Abigail and started running with Dutch van der Linde, Javier Escuella and Bill Williamson in his early career life of train robberies, bank hold-ups and gang destruction after leaving the orphanage in 1890. This game covers the life after Marston “left the gang when the gang left him.” I won’t say too much in case there are some people out there that haven’t played it yet.

This was by far one of the best games I have ever had the privilege of playing, and I have actually replayed the Story Mode at least 6 times since I purchased the game in the Summer of 2011. It’s just that good of a story.

Next Red Dead Game

There are many different websites, Twitter feeds, Facebook Pages and News posts regarding the next installment in the Red Dead series from Rockstar Games, but which of these are actually fact over fiction??

ALL that we know so far is that Rockstar hinted at there being another Red Dead game by saying this in a recent Asked and Answered to Rockstar:

As we mentioned in our last set of Asked & Answereds to similar questions about the future of other game franchises like Bully and L.A. Noire, we don’t always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won’t get to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series.

Now I will add that this does not, I will say again, DOES NOT confirm a new Red Dead installment. Rockstar simply hinted and said ‘stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series.’ That alone could mean many things, but what we are all hoping it means is the 3rd game in the series following Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption.

Plus, there are videos all over YouTube claiming the next Red Dead will be called “Red Dead Rebellion” and “Red Dead Revolution”. Like this video: Red Dead Rebellion News! about the next character being named Big Jesse. There is also this video: Red Dead Rebellion Trailer which is a short video of supposed footage of a town/settlement named St. Elmo which is not a town from the first 2 Red Dead games. The video is definitely game footage of some kind, whether it’s the actual footage for the next Red Dead game is a little misleading because if Rockstar does develop a 3rd Red Dead, pretty sure it would be on the next gen consoles so the graphics in the video look more of a Xbox 360 or PS3 type. Note: the description for the video does say that “Red Dead Rebellion is a third-person action shooter, which will only be available for mobile devices.” – ALL of this video is very controversial, misleading and most likely completely fake.

Plus there are dozens of other videos floating around YouTube with people claiming they know exactly what Rockstar is cooking up for Red Dead 3 (so to speak).

New Red Dead Game Plot

John MarstonHopefully, if Rockstar and Rockstar San Diego DO decide to make another Red Dead game, I think it would be nice to have maybe a prequel to the first 2 games. Before Redemption and before Revolver. This would be a new protagonist and could opt for a cameo from Marston when he was still in the gang with Dutch, Escuella and Williamson, or even an appearance from Red Harlow. This is just one type of plot that could be featured in a new Red Dead game.

Another awesome plot would be a prequel to Redemption alone. Where John Marston was still the protagonist but instead of playing around the 1911 year of cowboy era, maybe it could be set a decade or more before then when Marston was still in the gang with Dutch, Escuella and Williamson. Where robbing banks, stealing horses, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, Robin Hood style, would all be part of the game.

Both of these could be very interesting as a 3rd installment for the Red Dead series. I’m just really excited, anxious and anticipating good news from Rockstar Games about a new Red Dead game.

It’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog, so I figured I would add something that can easily be debated, trashed, sought after, recognized, hoped for, and many other things.

With the 2013 year approaching it’s half-way mark, and with the two main consoles being revealed earlier this year (PS4 and Xbox One), it is safe to say that LOTS of people are excited about this Holiday season for games, consoles and tons of other features. – I am still on the fence about which console to get. I’ve been an Xbox fan for the entire 360 generation, but it looks like I may be switching back to Playstation this year with the PS4 release.

Rockstar Games

Rockstar GamesMany people have been awaiting the release of the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series (GTA V) later this year from Rockstar Games. It’s still going to be Grand Theft Auto style, but greatly improved. There is going to be a ton of features, missions, side missions, action, killing, vehicles, drugs, cursing and hell raising. Who wouldn’t like this game??? I’ve got it pre-ordered, which will be played on my new console. It’s worth checking out the videos on Rockstar Games’ YouTube Channel.

Rockstar has a lot more up their sleeves as well. They just aren’t letting any of it slip to keep us gamers in constant anticipation. Especially when it comes to a new release in the Red Dead series! I speak for many when I say we are dying to see a possible prequel to Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption. Another Game Of The Year hit like Redemption on the new consoles would be astonishingly amazing. I’ve tried getting a rouse out of Rockstar concerning the Red Dead series, but, as I figured, I received no bites or recognition because of their secrecy.

Ubisoft

UbisoftThe teams at Ubisoft have really been impressing me this year as well. There are two games that they are releasing this year that I have pre-ordered as well. One would be the exciting, seamless Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag with it’s awesome graphics and background story. It’s always fun scaling buildings, performing stealthy assassinations and who wouldn’t want to go whaling?! This will be one awesome game and you should watch the videos on Ubisoft’s YouTube Channel.

The other game I’m excited about from Ubisoft is WATCH_DOGS. Another very beautifully put together story line with awesome graphics and interesting gameplay. You are Aiden Pearce and can hack pretty much anything in the city of Chicago using, what resembles an iPhone closely, your mobile device through the city’s ctOS. From causing cell service to drop around you, to changing traffic lights causing an accident, to stopping a monorail so you can board it, this game is going to be really exciting. Plus, did I mention, it looks amazing? Check it out on YouTube.

In Closing

I will say again, this will be a very exciting year for games, consoles, gamers and home entertainment. Be sure to keep yourself updated on the new consoles via E3 which will be on June 10th, 2013!

Throw some water and mud up out the puddle and soak the truck with it. Bombing a mud hole is truly our Dirt Road Anthem and you definitely have to finish it with a nice slide at the end.

These are the good days and Dylan Curtis and Stephen Tyler Lemmons are considering starting a muddin’ club for private dirt road slinging. If any person with a Dodge truck, two wheel drive or four wheel drive, is interested in being a part of these adventures, find us on Facebook via the linked names above, here at YouTube or leave a comment on one of the posts on My site here.

‘Dylan Curtis thought about just riding through this mud hole but then changed his mind to just bomb it and see what happens. We like the results his 2003 Hemi Dodge Ram 2500 produced. And as always…in 2 wheel drive! – Stephen Lemmons’

‘Swerving like I’m George Jones…’ – Brantley Gilbert

Red clay is some of the best mud to play in with a truck in two wheel drive, that is if you have a truck that can actually make it through red clay in two wheel drive like this 2003 Hemi Ram 2500 owned my Dylan Sutton Curtis. Most other trucks get stuck trying to make it through even in four wheel drive. This is why Dylan and Stephen Lemmons respect Hemi Ram trucks so much. They are beasts and are definitely a blast in some mud or on pavement.

Go on…Get ya a Hemi Dodge Ram. You’ll enjoy it, guaranteed. If not, hop in Dylan’s and then you’re sure to enjoy it.

‘Some red clay muddin’, mud puddle splashing, rut diggin and chillin’ on a dirt road with Dylan Curtis and Stephen Lemmons in a 2003 Hemi Ram 2500 in 2 wheel drive again.’

‘Now I grew up down an old dirt road in a town you wouldn’t know…’ – Aaron Lewis

There’s nothing like a good ol’ private back road, some good tunes and some good times to make any person love the south and country living. If it’s not a home cooked, down south meal; it’s Chillin’ On A Dirt Road and Kicking It In The Sticks in a big ol’ Hemi Dodge Ram 2500. We sure do have some fun and if any one is ever bored, be sure to catch Dylan Sutton Curtis or Stephen Tyler Lemmons on Facebook or on YouTube and drop us a line, we’ll be glad to take ya along for the ride!

1997 Mustang GT Autumn Orange

Autumn Orange = Best

Autumn Orange is by far the best looking combination of base coat and orange metallic that I have ever seen. The Autumn Orange Mustang, produced by Ford, was the second rarest paint color introduced for the 1997 year. Aztec Gold was the absolute most rare, but when you compare the two, the only thing I can ask myself is, ‘What the hell were they thinking by making Aztec Gold the rarest color on the 97 Mustang GTs…?’

The Aztec Gold paint looks decent, I’ll give them that, but it’s a solid color. A solid, metallic Gold color. It’s a pretty basic, albeit, lame color, no offense. On the other hand, the Autumn Orange color ranges from a deep burgundy, flat red to an almost candy like orange metallic burst when exposed to light. Autumn Orange (BG) is by far the best color ever produced outside of maybe (that’s right ‘maybe’) the Mystic Cobra color (only available on the 1996 Cobra model). My buddy Willis Cook has a Mystic Cobra and it’s a beautiful color, but we always go back to the Autumn Orange on my car because it’s just so perfect.

There were 1,519 Autumn Orange Mustang GTs sprayed in 1997, and I’m the proud owner of one. One of the 1,519 of which only 41 were made with every upgrade option exactly like mine. Lots of research! Autumn Orange paint, full leather interior, upgraded Anthracite and Machined Faced 17″ wheels, Mach 460 sound system, wood-grain interior accents (not a fan), straight drive (not an upgrade, but would never own a Mustang GT in an automatic), ABS, Anti-theft keyless entry, and all those other wonderful options that came with my car. Just wish the color wasn’t faded so much so you could get the true Autumn Orange goose bumps.

Update!

As of the last week in November 2013, my Autumn Orange Mustang GT now has the following:

  • UPR Tubular K-member (powder-coated Silver)
  • UPR Front A-arms
  • UPR Front Coil-Over Kit
  • UPR Rear Upper Control Arms
  • UPR Rear Lower Control Arms
  • UPR Rear Coil-Over Kit
  • Strange 10-way Adjustable Struts up front
  • Strange 10-way Adjustable Shocks for the rear
  • Viking 10-150 Springs up front (highly recommended)
  • Viking 10-250 Springs for the rear (highly recommended)
  • UPR Caster / Camber Plates
  • New Polyurethane Bushings front and rear
  • Copper Exhaust Gaskets (highly recommended)
  • Flowmaster Single Chambered Mufflers (added on January 17th, 2014. Had dual-chambered Flowmasters)
  • Custom Off-Road X-pipe that meets directly under my transmission
  • JEGS Cross-drilled Rotors on the Front and Rear
  • K&N Cold Air Intake
  • A few more add-ons for the interior and engine dress-up, plus a few more performance that I won’t list…

All installation work done with the help and professionalism of my boy from North Carolina, J.R. Brown at Custom Exhaust Solutions and with the help of my buddy Willis Cook. I highly recommend this guy for all your exhaust / random Mustang needs. He gets the job done and gets it done right. (WARNING! Sign into your Facebook account before accessing these links)

01 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

The 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse that I own is by far one of the best cars out there. Great on gas, great on acceleration, not too much of a grave dig in your wallet at the time of fuel fill up and a damn blast to drive!

This was my brother’s second most prized possession for travel, with the 97 Autumn Orange Mustang GT being his first. That boy loved his cars up and down, and I’m more than happy to be driving them both and having the rights of ownership of them both in my name.

Dylan Curtis putting his 2500 Hemi Ram in Drive 1 and letting it pull its own weight through the mud on a dirt road in Chesterfield SC. – Stephen Tyler Lemmons

If it’s not enough fun for you and your buddies to take your truck out mudding on a nice secluded back road, then it’s always more fun to take your truck out mudding on a nice secluded back road and let it drive itself through some decent clay tracks without actually being in the truck. True ‘Ghost Riding’.

Unless we get a humongous, three or four day downpour here in Chesterfield, South Carolina, these over night storm treated ‘decent’ clay roads are always fun to toy around with. (quoted ‘decent’ because it’s hard to find something that’s a challenge with a Ram like this).

I’ve yet to see Dylan Sutton Curtis get his ’03 2500 Hemi Dodge Ram stuck, and from what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think we will get to see his Ram stuck unless we go to an area that’s a hell of a lot more challenging like Uwharrie National Forrest.
