A 10-10-10 Wedding

•October 25, 2010 • Leave a Comment

The most popular day of the year and yes, when we started to count, we turned down a minimum of 34 weddings for this day. But we we did have three exciting weddings on 10-10-10. Here are some pictures from one of our 10-10-10 weddings.

This very glamorous wedding was at Hotel Palomar.

A wedding at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center

I always enjoy working at Callanwolde as there are so many great possibilities for decorating and brides can choose between a gorgeous formal ballroom or enjoying the natural setting of the outdoor gardens.

Our bride this past weekend selected  rich fall hues in raspberry, eggplant, purples and greens and wanted to incorporate classic and regal elements. so we utilized gold urns and chiavari chairs to add character to the ballroom. A little glam added to the head table with crystal compotes from our ‘bling’ collection.  Also check out the fabulous ceiling treatment of sheer diamond white swags, along with a luxurious chandelier hung from the ceiling of the reception ballroom.

Memories from some of our fabulous September weddings

This modern chuppah was created for a wonderful Jewish wedding at the Marietta Hilton. I so enjoy designing unique backdrops.

Silver orchid tree-labras atop a bed of pink rose petals, shared romantic twinkling light utilizing a myriad of hanging candles

Fuchsia orchids and roses cascaded down the sides of the cake provided by the famous Gabrielle’s Desserts in Marietta.

I thoroughly enjoyed planning the flora, decor and mandap for Laxmi and Satvik’s Pre-Ceremonial activities, Sangeet and Wedding but had even more fun watching the traditional dances and rituals and admiring the beautiful sari’s….”Wow” . Even the horse was fabulous.

Thanks to Violane Diogene for sharing the couple’s engagement pictures! (First pix)

Celina’s Wedding Day

•August 18, 2010 • Leave a Comment

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of creating the flora for a sweet young lady from my home country of Jamaica WI. She had to be one of the most courageous women I know, and on her wedding day was so calm and poised.  I still chuckle as I recall  her cousin saying Celina was so happy because ‘God loved her’ as despite our unpredictable summer weather, it was not going to rain on her outdoor ceremony. Not only did it not rain, but that particular Saturday had happened to be one of the coolest Saturdays we had all summer.
Celina and her girls carried hydrangea bouquets. Her bridal bouquet also featured green dendrobium orchids, snowy jewel roses with pearl adornments and her full silk wrap boasted a hand made silk fabric rosette.
Here is a short slide-show created by her talented photographer Alecia Lauren, of a few special memories of her day.
Enjoy!

Perfect Petals

We had an incredible day today, meeting over 500 brides and grooms at the Georgia Bridal Show- Cobb Galleria. We enjoyed sharing the soiree space, Luxe-Lounge and reception table with meticulous attention to all the pretty details…… from the place cards, menu cards, mod square plates, Mother of Pearl chargers,  Silver chiavari chairs complete with garland and flora accents and a pair of clarinets boasting a sunken , fluffy white balls, each topped off by over 100 stems of roses, hydrangea and orchids. Hanging crystals and swarovski crystal candle holders added sparkle  while carnation balls of gardenias added a sweet fragrance to the tables.

Our lounge space of semi sheer fabrics. complete with rushing and crystals enclosed our new Luxe, white leather furniture and capiz pillows. Be sure to visit our showroom to view the coordinating chairs and ottomans,  a haute white furry carpet and accessories..

The magnificent oasis of candles were designed by Robin of Artevellas and are available for rental or sale at our Showrooms.  They have been such a hit as they are safe, available in several sizes, shapes and colors and are perfect for terraces, a ceremony aisle, the altar and LOUNGE space.
