I think I am going to take up sewing.

Pinterest has convinced me I can sew.

I have visions of making a duvet cover that kinda looks like a quilt, making some stuffed toys for my daughter, clothes alterations/repairs and making myself the perfect purse/bag (which I have already designed).

I took sewing in high school.  So nothing in over 10 years, and I doubt my skills were much to begin with.

I am taking a class at the local fabric store. For the first class we made a Kleenex holder. It was a pretty good class, but I think they just want me to buy a $1500 sewing machine. uhm no.

Gaiam Banyan & Bo yoga mat review

I tried to review this mat on the site for the store where I bought the mat ... but it was a negative review so it won't post. I smell conspiracy.

I bought the Gaiam Banyan & Bo yoga mat 3 or 4 months ago and have been using it 3-5 times a week. I sweat and I slip.

I tried this mat with out washing it. I perspired and I slipped.
I washed it with just water. I perspired and I slipped.
I washed it with the special washing solution from the store I bought it from. I sweat and I slip.

My yoga instructor agreed that it was too slippery to be useful for yoga.

This was my first yoga mat. In the store it seemed not too slippery, but my hands were dry. And I loved how it looked. I guess I can add it to my heap of bad purchases.

I am in the market for a new mat. And I need a Purse. Time to go spend more money.
