A standing committee of the Provost and VP (Academic)
Composed of 12 representatives from across campus

Category A institution as designated by the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board
A Recognized Museum - Leader as assessed by the Alberta Museums Association (renewed in 2021)
Governed by the University of Alberta Museums and Collections Policy approved by the Board of Governors in March 2008
