McClure man jailed on homicide charges
McCLURE — A 76-year-old man was jailed Wednesday for allegedly shooting and killing his estranged wife. William Edward Shoop, of McClure, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston Thursday on one count of first-degree homicide. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, police were called to 2426 Snook Road, Decatur Township, at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, stating they could hear a man and woman arguing, then heard gunshots, followed by a female voice yelling for help.
