The school year starts to wind down Wednesday, June 12 with half-day early dismissal for students at Kent County Middle School and Kent County High School only. The elementary schools operate on the regular schedule June 12. Thursday, June 13 is a half day for all schools and the last day of school for students. Click here for more information.

Superintendent Search

On Jan. 8, 2024, the Kent County Board of Education agreed to move forward with a search for a new superintendent of schools for Kent County Public Schools, with the successful candidate to begin no later than July 1, 2024. On Jan. 23, 2024, the Kent County Board of Education approved a contract for the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (MABE) to serve as the search consultants.
