HAWTHORN HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY CELEBRATES

Hawthorn High School is, once again this year, celebrating the achievements of our Sixth Form students, despite the many challenges during the past two years.

Our students have displayed a diligent and committed attitude to their learning and their hard work has paid dividends. Many of our Year 13 students will be embarking on the next chapter of their journeys at universities the length and breadth of the UK, studying a wide range of subjects including Forensic Science, Electrical Engineering, English and Biochemistry and Genetics.

We are very pleased that all Year 13 students who applied for a university course this year have secured a place at their choice of university.

Some students will also be commencing apprenticeships while others will be entering full time employment.

For Headteacher, Claire Crockett, these results testify to the efforts of both students and staff during yet another challenging year within education.

“Despite the challenges this group of students have continued to face this year, they have persevered and worked hard to fulfil their potential. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank them for the many varied and valuable contributions they have made to every aspect of our community during their years with us. I wish them continued success and on behalf of all staff here, many congratulations to every pupil on their achievements. Thanks also to our committed staff who have ensured the best possible outcomes for our students during a challenging period.”

Helen Cook, Chair of Governors added,

“On behalf of our Governing Body, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all our Sixth Form pupils who have collected their results this week. I would also like to thank the parents and families of these pupils for their support during their time with us at Hawthorn High School. The partnership that exists between school and home is a very valuable one and we thank our families, and our dedicated staff, for working together to ensure the best outcomes possible for all our students.”
